Hydraulic Drill
LIVINGSTON, Texas – The unit is able to drill efficiently and effectively, even in the toughest soil conditions. The Hydraulic drill can be used for a variety of applications, including fence and sign installation, landscaping and soil sampling. It has also been designed for easy transport and maneuverability, making it an ideal addition to any rental center’s fleet.
Little Beaver’s Hydraulic drill features an 11-horsepower Honda overhead valve gas engine. The HYD-PS11H has a 5-gallon reservoir capacity and is mounted on an easily maneuverable three-wheel chassis. The compact design allows access to areas unreachable by skid steer-mounted augers, and the front rear handles are designed to make loading and unloading fast and easy.
At 150 RPM, the Hydraulic drill offers controlled and precise speed, resulting in higher torque and wider drilling diameter. When using a 12-inch or smaller diameter auger, the drill can achieve depths of up to 12 feet, depending on soil conditions. The units can also handle larger augers and drill holes up to 16 inches in diameter.

Little Beaver Hydraulic Unit
An integrated forward/reverse lever provides both safety and convenience. The lever lets the operator remove the auger if it gets caught under an obstruction, such as a rock or tree root, making the Hydraulic drill ideal for heavily wooded areas. For further enhanced user safety, a steel torque tube is incorporated to allow the operator to use a large diameter auger without fear of dangerous kickback. The torque tube transfers digging torque from the drill head to the engine carriage, making one-man drilling both safe and simple. In addition to protecting the operator from harm, the torque tube provides easier drilling and reduces operator effort and fatigue. The higher level of torque also results in less vibration and a longer service life.
Three different handle options are available, allowing the unit the ability to complete virtually any drilling project. The one-man handle is primarily used for standard drilling tasks and projects requiring augers 10 inches in diameter or smaller. It is built with a 150-RPM motor, and a 220-RPM motor is also available when higher speeds are desired. When using larger augers 12 to 16 inches in diameter, the two-man handle is recommended. The standard 150-RPM motor allows easy drilling for extra deep holes. A 220-RPM motor is available and provides greater drilling speed, while the 125-RPM is an option for added torque. Finally, the high-torque anchor handle, primarily used for mobile home, tent and utility anchors, features a 60-RPM motor, with optional 125- and 150-RPM motors available. All three styles feature a self-centering control valve for return to neutral when released.
Little Beaver Hydraulic Unit
Two different types of kits are offered to increase the versatility of the Hydraulic unit. Drilling along roadways and other difficult-to-access areas is possible with the Telescoping Torque Tube Kit. The kit allows the power source to remain on the rear of a vehicle, while the included two-man handle is used to drill holes up to 11 feet away. The bumper-mounted swivel bracket and telescoping torque tube provide 180-degree mobility, and attach to any equipment with auxiliary hydraulic connections. When drilling deeper than 10 feet, or when lifting the auger out of the ground becomes too heavy, the Tripod Kit is a suitable option. Designed for soil sampling and geophysical work, the tripod accessory provides controlled drilling and easy 4-inch auger removal up to 35 feet deep. The kit includes a hand winch for fast set-up, and for added versatility, the kit is compatible with both one- and two-man handles.

Woman disputes $1,900 water bill over 3 months
Darden resident Shonda Gilbert said she believes a faulty meter led to the abnormally high bills between the months of July and September and that the water service technicians who came to her house said there wasn't a leak causing the issue.
Lexington Utilities General Manager Michael Harper, however, said that Gilbert did not inform them about the issue until the third month after her water was cut off. A service technician reported seeing standing water on the ground the first time they went to her home, which is a sign of a leak, he said.
Gilbert, however, says she went to the utility company after receiving July's bill of $219 and again in August when it topped $300.
"I went back and complained again, and they sent somebody to check for leaks once more, but the guy that checked it said it's perfectly still, there's no leaks," Gilbert said. "I told the (company officials) there's something wrong with my meter, and they said they don't break ... if they mess up, they slow down, not speed up."
After another meter was installed at the end of September, her October bill was back to around $30.
Harper said leaks typically start out slowly and steadily increase over time, as in Gilbert's case. It is possible to leak 270,000 gallons in one month, as her August bill shows.
"She knew when we changed this meter, and what I firmly believe is she had a leak and fixed it (after the new meter was installed)," Harper said.
Harper said the first meter — which has a serial number that coincides with the technician's report — was calibrated and shown to not have any issues.
Gilbert, however, said she doubts the system sent off the right meter and that lawsuits have been filed over whether water meters provided inaccurate readings. The meter was only changed after she told the company's assistant manager she would bring the issue up at Lexington's Board of Aldermen meeting in October, she said.
Gilbert's water has been cut off several times since the bills came in as she's attempted to pay enough to keep it running. Gilbert says even if there were a leak, the bill would still not have reached $993 in one month's time, and if so, it would have flooded her home.
Billy Joe Hill, a service manager, for Tim Ferguson Plumbing Co. said it is possible to have more than 200,000 gallons of water leak in a month and that it likely would be evident with water on the ground.
Gilbert also said she feels she's been treated unfairly when another resident with a high water bill was able to get her amount owed reduced. Harper said that situation was also a leak, but the utility lowered that woman's bill because it did not send a service technician out to her home the first time she informed it about the bill.
"If we would have messed up, we would have helped (Gilbert), and we're still willing to help her," Harper said. "My honest belief is she had a leak."

more than 750 watts, a top speed (on motor only) of 20 mph as a "bicycle" EU countries
Pedelecs up to 25km/h (16 mph) and a motor no more than 250 watts rated output are
considered bicycles. Type approval is not required. Applicable November 9th2003 in all EU
member states. This makes the Bulls’ eight-win 2008 all the more impressive. The program’s rapid ascent from F.B.S. doormat to MAC champion has earned their coach, Turner Gill, the respect of college football pundits everywhere, while giving the university and its city a much-needed dose of attention. Earlier Friday, Gov. David A. Paterson of New York chimed in about the Bulls and their improbable season: “At noon tomorrow, the University at Buffalo Bulls will play the University of Connecticut Huskies in college football’s International Bowl. This game will truly be a moment to celebrate – not only for UB fans and alumni, but for all New Yorkers. Buffalo Buffalo won three games in overtime and another on a last-second touchdown heave by quarterback Drew Willy, adding a little more magic to an already hard-to-believe season. Combine those close victories with three losses by a touchdown or less and Buffalo’s notorious history as the chicken wing capital of the United States and you have a recipe for heart failure. The clear face of the Buffalo program is Gill, who has led the Bulls to three-win improvements in each of the last two seasons (from 2-10 in 2006 to 5-7 last fall to 8-5). The job he has done and the class with which he comports himself has led his name to be bandied about for nearly every major college football job opening — Syracuse, Auburn, Iowa State and Washington — this off-season. If he eventually ends up leaving, the Bulls hope the work he has done at Buffalo will continue once he leaves. In addition to the senior Willy, who threw for 3,091 yards and 25 touchdowns, the Bulls rely on the junior running back James Starks, who ran for a career-high 1,308 yards. Connecticut Lost in the acclaim for Buffalo and Gill is the job Randy Edsall has done at Connecticut, a program that actually joined the F.B.S. a year later than the Bulls but is participating in a bowl game for the second straight season. Edsall — who also saw his name mentioned in connection to the Syracuse opening — has been Connecticut’s coach throughout the team’s time in the F.B.S., which it began as an independent before joining the Big East in 2004. With a 7-5 mark, UConn has clinched a winning record for the fourth time in the last six seasons. I would be remiss to go any further without mentioning the junior running back Donald Brown, who slid completely under the national radar despite leading the F.B.S. with 1,822 yards rushing. 美经济即将衰退？保尔森不
美国财长保尔森 新华社记者张岩摄 4月3日下午，美国总统布什特别代表、财政部长保尔森在北京接受了中国日报的专访。他在专访中称，美国经济目前正在经历一个艰难时期。 称吴仪“非常棒”，和王岐山是老朋友 在中国新一届政府中，国务院副总理王岐山主管贸易和金融事务。他将接替前任吴仪副总理，以国家主席胡锦涛特别代表身份，同保尔森共同主持将在华盛顿举行的下一轮中美战略经济对话。 当被问及王岐山及“铁娘子”吴仪有何不同时，保尔森回答说，他和吴仪合作得非常愉快。“她非常棒！世界各地的人都很喜欢她。她精力充沛，而且在世界上的声誉非常好。同时，她也是一个非常厉害、非常强硬的谈判者。”保尔森说。 谈到王岐山，保尔森表示两人已经相识很多年，有着密切的合作关系，而且合作得非常愉快。 保尔森称王岐山也是一个“强硬的对手”，但他们是朋友，相互了解，相互信任，知道如何沟通与合作。保尔森说，一般来讲，政府换届时可能出现衔接问题，效率会比较低。但他和王岐山之间完全不存在这些问题。 保尔森表示他了解王岐山，称他“不是一个逃避问题的人，而是一个主动去解决问题的人。当难题出现时，他不是去躲避，而是知道怎样应对这个难题。” 保尔森与王岐山的友谊开始于10多年前的亚洲金融危机。王岐山处理广东国际信托投资公司破产难题，当时两人就打过交道。2003年“非典”期间，时任北京市长的王岐山也与保尔森有过接触。 今年4月2日两人以新的身份再次相见时，王岐山非常关心这位多年好友的状况。他对保尔森说：“周一在电视上看到你时，你有些疲惫。但现在已经是容光焕发、精力充沛。” 对美经济前景乐观，促人民币加速升值 对于美国经济，保尔森说：“去年年底美国经济突然下滑，因此我们目前正在经历一个非常艰难的时刻。”保尔森说，很难预测这次次贷危机会持续多长时间，但他仍对美国经济前景感到乐观。对于有关美国经济是否即将陷入衰退的提问，保尔森没有回答。 对于导致次贷危机的美国楼市，保尔森说：“我们现在正对房市进行修正。这一修正并不令人愉快，但是必要的。”他指出，美国房价已涨到一个极不稳定的水平。 在访问中国的两天时间里，保尔森多次表示期待中国加快人民币升值速度。他3日在中国科学院发表演讲时说：“人民币升值速度明显加快，希望中方继续保持。” 对于中美战略经济对话，保尔森认为，中美双方在战略经济对话中取得的最主要进展，是去年双方谈到的贸易诚信问题以及进出口商品的安全性和食品安全问题。 展望未来，中美双方正磋商在环保和能源领域进行合作的未来10年计划。保尔森指出，中美两国都是能源消费大国，在环保领域合作前景广泛。他还建议，希望北京取消环保设备进口关税，以鼓励对高科技环保产品的进口，改善空气和水的质量。 另据美国媒体报道，由于清洁能源和环保问题是双方密切合作的领域，两国政府可能将这一议题从战略经济对话中分离出来，单设一个独立的对话机制。 （中国日报特稿 王建芬）
